She came from Texas to Maine.
Fell in love with the Backwoods.
Now we're spreading the Love!
Hold up, she's brought her brother on board too...

Permanently moving from Texas to Maine usually prompts a number of questions. The first question being:
Sooo, have you made it through a whole winter yet?
Now after 20 years she can sufficiently say: Yes, I have!
Welcome to Folk Camp!
We are a family business created by the sibling duo, Curt & Debbie Hayes, sharing our beloved Maine vibes & products based on the rural lifestyle Debbie has created on her lovely farm overlooking Big Indian Lake.

A Bit More About Deb
Debbie Hayes Gallagher is the creative force behind Meadow Lake Farm in St. Albans, Maine. Originally from Texas, she moved to Maine in 2004 with her four children, seeking a life rooted in nature, creativity, and small town life. Since then, despite life's little challenges, she has cultivated a lakeside homestead that reflects her Southern warmth, free spirit, and joy of driving tractors!
With the idea of opening her hay field to summer campers, she and her brother, Curt, also conceived of Folk Camp as a curated shop inspired by Debbie’s deep love of the beauty of Maine. Through Folk Camp, she’s spreading that love far beyond the farm gate—inviting others to bring a little bit of backwoods Maine magic into their own lives.
In addition, Debbie brings her eye for comfort and character to her interior design work through Farm Toast Studio. Her style blends rustic charm, vintage treasures, and a dash of modern function to create spaces that feel both lived-in and loved.
Whether she's curating products, designing interiors, or mucking out pony pens, Debbie brings heart, humor, and a relaxed eye for beauty to everything she does. Her life and work are a testament to what happens when you reinvent your dreams, follow your creative instincts, and build a life you love.
